I went looking for books that dealt with weight loss, health and fitness specifically for African-American women. I didn't find much and the best of what I found is in the sidebar. Now mind you I HAVE NOT READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS so I am NOT making any recommendations.

Hi, I just discovered your blog last week and saved it in my favorites so I could check it out later.
I've been working to maintain a sensible weight all of my adult life. I look forward to checking out your blog and maybe one day contributing an article.
When I come across other sisters who are a part of the "struggle", I'll tell them to check out your blog.
I understand the struggle. It's usually a ten to twenty pound flux for me. But I've lost my mind with this 30 and am working hard to get it off. Sigh
